Isaac and Hammond will cook up a plan to get into the morgue, giving you your next objective.īefore sure to look around the station a little before heading out. Use Kinesis to move the blocks out of the way, allowing you to reach the Security Station proper on the other side.Īnother video call will trigger when you enter the room. This is a long hallway that is blocked by some debris about halfway down. Once you are ready to proceed, step through the door next to the waiting room that leads to the Security Station. There is also a Save Station on the adjacent wall. ![]() Interact with it to Override the Station Lockdown and activate the Tram, which will allow you to start using the train to travel between areas on the Ishimura. Whilst it may have disappointed the majority of fans, the Waystation proves there's still some good meat left on Dead Space 3's bones.Exit and approach the computer next to the Tram Deck. There's not many areas in Dead Space 3 that channel the panic and discomfort of the rest of the series, but the Abandoned Waystation is equal parts nervous, claustrophobic and dreadful. These creepy hybrids are the product of cannibalism and the consumption of Necromorph flesh, resulting in a horde of spindly dread creatures ready to rush out of the lower facility and give you a nibble. Making your way from the bright, open surface of the planet into the groaning innards of the underground facility is eerie enough on its own, and then the Feeders show up. From the moment the player is warned about 'strange noises in the basement', it's clear that this place isn't messing around. ![]() And in most places that's true - just not the Abandoned Waystation. A common criticism of Dead Space 3 is that the series' body horror leanings were snowed under by co-op action schlock. ![]()
